Antiscalant WATEX M422 for membrane protection

Manufacturer: WATEX
Product code: M422
Combination does not exist

An antiscalant is a chemical added to water—especially in water treatment systems like reverse osmosis (RO)—to prevent the formation of scale, which is the buildup of mineral deposits such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, and others.

How it works:

Antiscalants interfere with the crystallization process of dissolved minerals, preventing them from turning into solid deposits that would otherwise clog or damage equipment.

Common uses:
    •    Reverse osmosis systems
    •    Boilers and cooling towers
    •    Desalination plants
    •    Industrial water treatment systems

By using an antiscalant, systems can operate more efficiently and with less maintenance, extending the life of membranes and other equipment.

Imovements using antiscalant:

  • Increasing the service life of the membrane material
  • Reducing the number of chemical cleaning and equipment downtime
  • Reduction of water consumption for own needs
  • Optimization of concentrate and permeate percentage
  • Reduction of operating costs
  • Saving energy
  • Minimization of environmental problems
